While traveling to a remote village in Southeast Asia, I witnessed the harsh reality of water scarcity and poor sanitation. What hit me hardest was learning about a farmer family’s suicide—driven by drought, debt, and crop failure. The cracked earth and silent grief stirred intense climate anxiety in me. That moment sparked the purpose behind Wave (formerly Jal)—a non-profit committed to water conservation, sustainable agriculture, and environmental welfare, ensuring such tragedies are never ignored again.

BREAKING BARRIERS

Project Wave X Bright Shine Beyond Sight

It was a powerful show of solidarity and support to sponsor Gujarat’s team at the prestigious IBFF Blind Football Tournament. We launched statewide fundraisers – ranging from impactful scrap drive collections to generous community donations. The response was overwhelming, with contributions pouring in from cities like Ahmedabad and Vadodara. Together, we proudly raised over INR 200,000 to ensure the Gujarat team had everything they needed to compete with confidence. This partnership was not just about football. It was about vision – one that goes beyond sight.

Moments of Water

Moments of water was a storytelling project where we interviewed over 100 everyday individuals about one of the world’s most urgent issues – water scarcity. Through their voices, we explored how water impacts daily life, what’s at stake, and what solutions might help us move forward. These conversations revealed not just concern, but also hope, resilience, and ideas for change from the ground up.
